Wallet of Satoshi is now live on Spark, bringing a self-custodial Lightning experience to their users for the first time.

Wallet of Satoshi is now live on Spark, bringing a self-custodial Lightning experience to their users for the first time. This marks a major step forward in making Lightning more scalable, seamless, and accessible, especially in the U.S. market.
Early Partnership
The Spark team collaborated with Wallet of Satoshi during the platform's beta phase. Wallet of Satoshi immediately saw the potential and pushed us to build something real. The partnership played a significant role in Spark's development.
Beta Launch
Wallet of Satoshi has begun rolling out a beta version of their self-custodial Lightning wallet powered by Spark. This integration enables users to maintain full control over their Bitcoin while enjoying a simplified experience. Notably, this development allows the platform to re-enter and serve the U.S. market.
Why Spark?
Building self-custodial Lightning wallets presents significant technical challenges. Lightning wasn't originally designed with self-custody in mind, creating complications around liquidity, node management, and channel complexity.
Spark solves this by abstracting the technical layers: creating a Lightning wallet on Spark takes just 6 lines of code. Users experience the wallet without recognizing the underlying infrastructure.
